No More Keyes: Our Next Projects
We want to level with you; we’ve been talking a lot lately about the fact that our original purpose when we started making content was never to create a true crime platform.
We do have more already written for Crime Culture Media - including multiple longform documentaries along with more short form content - but we’re both feeling pretty burnt out spending so much time doing something we never intended to do in the first place.
When we re-launched, we went with the name Crime Culture Media to give CrimeCult.com more scope than just crime. The documentary we’re most excited about is nothing like Full Detail or even Bound to Kill.
In fact, it’s nothing like anything we’ve released so far. We don’t want to be overly specific just yet but it’s about dogs and culture and we can’t wait to make it for you.
It’s going to take a budget about 20x larger than what we put into Keyes docu so we’re working on funding it. The other documentary we have a script finished for is different.
Based on our current revenue, the funding for that should be good - thanks to you. And it is completely finished: A final draft, with copious supplemental materials, on the September 11th attacks.
The 25th anniversary is coming up next year. That script is ready to go except that we have to find the time to shoot and edit it, plus orchestrate a release of some kind, and we’re gonna need to figure that out.
Or, try to. We may just release the scripts. We’re a little crunched for time right now working harder than ever to achieve our goals and build the future we want for ourselves and our family.
While we focus on that, we’re going to take some much needed time away from Crime Culture Media to recharge and work on other things. Like music, for instance… and also a bunch of other stuff.
It’s been almost nonstop for almost five years and we need what will almost be a break! If you knew what these years have looked like for us, you’d be amazed we accomplished anything at all.
Which reminds me; besides the documentaries we mentioned, we have quite a few articles already written, and you’ll likely hear stories from us here or there in some capacity… such as our impromptu coverage of the Iryna Zarutska tragedy.
Don’t get us wrong; we have a deep appreciation for the importance of this kind of work and we have no intention of stopping. But we still need a break.
To that end, in the interim, Crime Culture Media will do something similar to the pre-sales we’ve run in the past ahead of new projects.
Before we released Bound to Kill, we offered special pre-sale pricing to help get Crime Culture Media off the ground. We ran a similar pre-sale before we released our revolutionary true crime documentary Israel Keyes Life in Full Detail.
This sale will last from now until whenever we decide to come back. While we’re away, you can help fund our next project and get a killer deal with crazy discounts that last for as long as you remain a subscriber.
Get in at around $30 a year or less than $5 a month; for a limited time, we’re even offering Lifetime Subscriptions for just $99! See what you’re missing and help fund what comes next:
