Israel Keyes Life in Full Detail is looking like it will end up being a lot longer than the 3 hours we anticipated. At this point the run time is around 4 hours 30 minutes. There’s still some stuff we need to add in, and we are running out of things to cut, so we have been talking about breaking it up into multiple parts to make it easier to watch.

We also have another reason to break the documentary up. It’s pretty close to being done, except… we’re waiting on what we think is some last minute video footage from a certain state police department. If we break the documentary up due to length, this will NOT impact the release of the first part of Life in Full Detail.

It could potentially delay subsequent parts as well as the accompanying article. If the files contain what we think they contain we will have footage that has never been released so we’re very excited about this despite the potential it has to delay things and we hope that you are too. They have taken an insanely long time for us to source.

We didn’t think we were going to get them at all; we had been redirected and shuffled between different government agencies for over a year and we hadn’t heard back from the state since our last email at the beginning of November. We thought it was a lost cause.

Then a couple of weeks ago we received an email with an estimated cost of $216 to release the records to us. We sent off a money order and we’re just waiting to hear back.

It took over two months for the state to reply to our request

About the Shoot

Filming took a string of 12 hour days and we’re now approaching week 4 of editing it all together. Fortunately, we did a lot of work in advance to prepare in terms of annotating interviews and prepping video clips we knew we would use, which has made editing go a lot faster than it otherwise would have.

Behind the Scenes from the Shoot

We’re very grateful to you for making this documentary happen. Your subscriptions helped cover securing all the files from the FBI and various state police departments as well as our production costs for Life in Full Detail. Thank you.

Our current location has a lot of audible road noise, so to ensure the best production quality we possibly could, we booked a 4th floor room at the Hyatt to use as a set. It had a little space, decent acoustics and good lighting for such an affordable hotel room. Most importantly, we could record there for 12 hours straight without having to stop every time a loud truck or motorcycle went by.

As a way to show our gratitude we recorded some behind the scenes video for you. We figured since you paid for it we would invite you in with us for a minute. Come on in and take a look around.
