I made this meme over two years ago…
I realized this after making my first documentary on Israel Keyes, which is wild because it took me six months to make that documentary & during that time I was still working on the Delia Day story!
That’s what happens when you’re highly invested in research, sometimes things like that just don’t click. When it finally clicked I had to make a meme!
When I did, other people started commenting about December 2nd deaths and that’s when I realized I needed to document this phenomenon.
The opportunity was just too interesting. So, here are FIVE famous December 2nd deaths related to true crime…
Travis Anton - President of BoxTop Software, Manager of fetish model Delia Day, Killed in his sleep by his wife Susan (aka, Delia Day) on December 2, 2003
Israel Keyes - Serial Killer who committed suicide at the Anchorage Correctional Complex in Anchorage, Alaska on December 2nd, 2012. Keyes is suspected to have murdered over a dozen people, though there are only five confirmed victims, though he is suspected to have killed over a dozen people.
Alister Crowley - Occultist, into black magic and tantric sex who was implicated in six murders. He denied killing anyone, instead claiming the deaths were the result of the curse of King Tut.
Crowley actually died on December 1, 1947 but was first reported on December 2nd. Over the years, this has caused a great deal of confusion, and he is listed in numerous places as having died on December 2nd.
Pablo Escobar - Columbian drug lord, ran the Medellin Cartel for many years, and even ran for office - wanting to be president of the country. He is responsible for countless deaths, terrorist attacks, and was ultimately shot to death on the roof of a safe house by American DEA agent Steven Murphy on December 2, 1993.
The Marquis de Sade - The psycho responsible for sadomasochism
Kidnapped some kids and raped them. Went to prison. Wrote some books. Died December 2, 1814
