Child Defends Home From Intruders

According to Kentucky State Police, back in February of 2025, two men were shot dead by a juvenile after they broke into a home in the town of Manchester.

Police responding to a 911 call found two men with gunshot wounds inside of a home. Jeffrey Allen, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene; Roger Smith, 44, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The two men were armed when they broke into the home in a brazen daytime robbery. When the minor aged male resident saw two men inside of his house holding firearms, he retrieved a handgun.

As you may have already surmised, the young man shot both men before he fled to safety through a bedroom window. Police did not give the exact age of the minor who shot the intruders in their Facebook post, however, his great-grandmother commented on the thread to say that,

“He is [doing] okay.”
